Countach QV #GLA1299740th Anniversary of LamborghiniFriday we finally drove to Bologna, we washed both cars near the hotel, but then the battery of the Countach was dead. Fortunately somebody had a start booster, when the car was running again we were able to drive to the hotel. We called Valentino to get a mechanic to change battery and check if the alternator is ok. Well, who arrived was a former Lambo mechanic who worked on the Jalpa, Countach up to the Diablo development. We installed the battery and checked the alternator, all was ok again and I finally got a better feeling. He had a quick look on the Jalpa, stating a too lean idle mixture making the engine popping. You knew immediately he knows the cars by heart. Well Friday was over now and we were taken to dinner at Palazzo de'Rossi at Pontecchio Marconi. Saturday I first wanted to go to the race track, but shortly before the Event happened they switched from the Adria Circuit to Vairano near Milan, so we decided to go shopping in Bologna. -> Back to History-Page |
Piet from England rebuilt the famous Miura Jota of Bob Wallace, the engine was made by Bob and believe me, the car is damned loud and just unbelievable. -> Back to History-Page |
Imagine it was Saturday Evening and we still saw hardly any Lamborghini except the cars at our own hotel, how disappointing! Finally on Sunday we finally saw most of the cars who joined the meeting, IMO there have been around 250 cars. Overall it was nice to meet so many people you know from Internet and emails, but never see in person. -> Back to History-Page |
On the way home the 6-Pin connector in the trunk begun to melt, the new radiator fans take up to 20 Amperes, which let the corroded connector overheat, well again something to fix... |
